poSell is back-office sales and inventory software. Many countries require a certified fiscal device for the customer's legal receipt — where that applies, the legal receipt has to come from that device, not from poSell. We'd rather you know now than find out later.

Do I need to install anything?

No. poSell runs in your browser on Windows, Mac or a tablet. There is nothing to download and no server to set up — you open your address and sign in.

Will my current barcode scanner work?

Yes. Standard USB scanners present themselves as keyboards and work immediately. Receipt printers and serial-port weighing scales are supported too, so the counter you have today is the counter you keep.

What happens if the internet drops?

poSell runs in the cloud, so selling needs a connection. We recommend keeping your phone's hotspot as a fallback — in most shops an outage is measured in minutes, and the hotspot covers it.

Is my data safe?

Each store's data lives in its own database with its own credentials, so one store can never reach another's records. Traffic is encrypted end to end and backups run daily.

Is it really free, or does a bill arrive later?

The starter plan is free for good: one store, unlimited sales and products. Invoicing, advanced inventory and payment add-ons will be optional extras — what you already have won't shrink.
